This is a rare 2nd generation big block car. In 1971 there was only 1533 396 big block cars ever made. This was the last year for any real horsepower, after 71 the emission laws took over and the end was in sight for the american muscle cars. This car is also a true factory SS car. You had to have a SS or a RS/SS to get the LS3 396 option. This car all matching numbers and just had the entire drivetrain rebult. The body is all metal. The custom bumpers were a pretty rare option as well, Out of 114,630 camaros made that year only 1,309 cars got the special deluxe bumpers, which you can't get aftermarket. These bumpers were taken off and triple chromed nd the rubber stripe put back on. The entire suspension was redone as well as new rear leaf springs. This was a very nice restoration.
